Essential training to shift mindsets, spark action, and build a culture of purposeful attendance.

The Foundations of Meaningful Attendance is a one-off, high-impact training offer designed for whole staff teams, middle leaders, or SLTs who want to build their knowledge, confidence and shared understanding of how to improve attendance, not just with systems, but through culture, connection, and psychological safety.

This training provides schools with a clear, evidence-informed foundation that links wellbeing, staff culture, student engagement, and family partnership to the core goal of rebuilding purposeful attendance in line with Government policy and best practice.

Whether you’re facing increased emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), rising staff absences, or fractured home-school relationships this training is where your journey begins.

Participants will explore: The psychology of attendance, understanding EBSA and disengagement

What our Customers Say

NCB is proud to have awarded the first Optimus Education Wellbeing Award for Schools to Lessness Health Primary School, which under the expert guidance of Kelly Hannaghan and the leadership of Head Teacher Kate O’Connor transformed itself into a nurturing environment with pupils and staff wellbeing at its heart.

Kelly has shown the power of living leadership in a way she cares for all the people around her and for herself. Pupils in her school have learned the importance of core values like bravery, respect, and responsibility.

They have encouraged to express feelings and moods in a constructive and reflective way.

They learn self-management techniques and support each other by electing wellbeing ambassadors in every class. Voices of pupils are central to the wellbeing strategy.

Kelly lives and breathes these values herself.

Her approach to the school and its community is inspiring.
